Ryan is an investment professional and currently serves clients as a financial advisor at Edward Jones, where he has worked for the past ten years. He began his career in financial services with Morgan Stanley in New York City working in Private Wealth Management as an advisor to wealthy families. 

In addition to his investment related work, he co-founded two start-up ventures with responsibilities for strategy, operations, business development, and client service. Prior to his time in New York, he worked in Washington, D. C. for the Corporate Executive Board (now a part of Gartner), a research and consulting firm. He began his career there as a researcher covering human resources issues as well as strategic matters for insurance providers and private banks. He eventually became the Director of the Internet Solutions Group where he and his team built and managed the firm’s numerous web properties and helped develop the firm’s online strategy. Prior to this, he taught U.S. History in Winston-Salem, NC.

Ryan is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he also earned a Master in Business Administration from Kenan-Flagler Business School. Additionally, Ryan has been active with the New Canaan Society, a national men’s Christian fellowship, where he helped found the Charlotte chapter eight years ago. He is an Eagle Scout and an avid reader. Ryan lives in Charlotte with his wife Wesla and their two young daughters.
