Help For a Community We Love
Since 1939, The Christian Mission has been a catalyst that empowers the community to become advocates and serve those in need to achieve an improved quality of life. We engage the community to recognize and remove barriers and challenge how society views poverty. Through collaboration with the community, the Mission exists to break the cycle of poverty by providing crisis assistance, case management, and educational programming.
To ensure food security for our clients, we provide access to our full pantry twice per month. Clients can also use our Resource Store to obtain free clothing and household goods.
The Christian Mission also offers rent and utility assistance to prevent homelessness and utility disconnections.
Once a trust-built relationship is formed, the Mission provides ongoing stabilization through Case Management, Senior Companions, Drive to Thrive, and referrals.
When clients are ready, the Mission runs individual betterment programs, including poverty alleviation programming for all ages (NETworX), mentoring, skill building, and substance use support (e.g. education, treatment, mental health, and peer support).
The Christian Mission exists to break the cycle of poverty by providing crisis assistance, case management, educational programming, and community engagement.
Our vision is to create strong individuals and families across all cultures and socioeconomic levels to measurably reduce poverty at its holistic core.
As the hands and feet of Christ, we believe in showing God’s incredible love, mercy, and compassion to all people, just as they are.
